Instructions

This event will be held in conjunction with the 32^nd Half Marathon and will commence at 07:45, 15 minutes after the departure of the Half Marathon competitors.

Race numbers can be collected from 06:30 at the Northern end of John Carver close, which is a short walk from the start line.

For safety reasons, no dogs or strollers are permitted in the event.

There will be free water and fruit at the finish, as well as egg and bacon rolls, sports drinks and coffee for sale Presentations and barrel draws planned to commence around 09:00. Runners Shop gift vouchers will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers of the 10km Fun Run.

Course Description

The course starts at the end of Garryowen drive on Black Mountain Peninsula. Runners will proceed along Garryowen drive and turn left onto the shared path just before Lady Denman drive. Runners then proceed along the shared path, (keeping to the left hand side) around West Basin for about 4km; there will be a water station at the turn around point. Runners turn and retrace their steps to Black Mountain Peninsula. Here they turn right onto the bike path near the rowing sheds and enter John Cardiff Close for the finish.
